Typical duties of a Controller
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage, schedule and train a team of freelance linguists and QC operators to uphold highest quality while hitting tight deadlines
• Review, make decisions, and act as arbiter for any language issues that arise between QC linguists and partners
• Manage multiple large-scale projects across multiple QC vendors effectively and efficiently
• Train QC vendors to ensure the highest quality customer experience for the localization of our original content
• Provide innovative thinking around scalable solutions and operational workflows for language asset management
• Analyze vendor delivery metrics to identify trends, diagnose issues and reinforce quality standards
• Manage multiple large-scale projects across a wide range of localization vendors and translators effectively and efficiently
• Provide innovative thinking around scalable solutions and operational workflows for language asset creation and management, constantly questioning existing systems and looking for a better way
• Build and maintain relationships with localization vendors
• Advocate, understand, communicate, and exemplify the company’s values
• Excellent Spanish language skills, and capacity to communicate and provide feedback in English in a clear, concise, professional and effective manner
• Native French speaker (mother tongue)
• Demonstrate a constant, unflinching attention to detail
• Advanced or in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Excellent knowledge of localization testing processes and tools
• Very good knowledge of video game platforms (such as PlayStation®3, PlayStation®4, Xbox 360, Xbox One) and related software and tools
